Announcing Akropolis' 25/26 Season!
With stops in 17 states and 2 countries, Akropolis' 17th season is here!
With over 25 concerts in collaboration with series including Duke Arts, Fontana Chamber Series, Zoellner Arts Center, Newport Classical, Music Mondays NYC, Peace Center, Pearl Arts, Howland Chamber Music Circle, and Ventura Music Festival, we'll also be performing our GRAMMY® Award-winning project, Are We Dreaming the Same Dream? with pianist and composer Pascal Le Boeuf and drummer Christian Euman at the Moab Music Festival Winterlude, in addition to residencies at Florida State University, University of Michigan, Western Michigan University, University of Lincoln-Nebraska, The Pennington School, Brigham Young University-Idaho, Troy University (AL), and Duke University.
We're also excited to be sharing new world premieres by Michel van der Aa, Remy Le Boeuf, Patrick O'Malley, Wenbin Lyu, and Mikeila McQueston, a collaboration with GRAMMY® Award-winning baritone Kenneth Overton, plus performances of recent commissions by Augusta Read Thomas, Harriet Steinke, Derrick Skye, Stephanie Ann Boyd, Omar Thomas, Ryan Lindveit, and Oswald Huỳnh.
