Made possible thanks to the National Endowment for the Arts, Freedom 250 grant program, Akropolis is excited present this free concert featuring the United States Air Force Band in recognition of Freedom 250. Akropolis Reed Quintet will perform a joint program of American music alongside the United States Air Force Band. The repertoire will include a concerto for reed quintet and wind ensemble by Johan de Meij, as well as works by David Biedenbender, Steve Reich, and National Council for the Arts member Kinan Azmeh. Musicians from both groups will offer a pre-concert talk.
